PROPAL is part of the Carvajal Organization S.A.; It is a Colombian multinational present in more than 17 countries, which employs 26,000 employees and achieves more than 1.7 billion dollars annually.

In Yumbo, Valle del Cauca, and in Guachené, Cauca, it has its two largest production plants. In these regions, sugar mills are excellent, their main raw material is produced: the sugarcane bagasse.
